2023 Annual Meeting

The 2023 Annual CAIRIBU Meeting was held on November 28 – December 1 in Kansas City, MO.
The annual meeting brings together leaders, trainees, and research teams of the NIDDK-funded U54 Urology O’Brien Centers, P20 Urology Centers, and the Multidisciplinary K12 Urologic Research (KURe) and Urological Epidemiology (KEpi) Institutional Research Career Development Programs. Collectively, these Centers and Programs are part of the CAIRIBU umbrella – Collaborating for the Advancement of Interdisciplinary Research in Benign Urology.
All investigators and trainees affiliated with currently-funded CAIRIBU Community U54 Urology Centers, P20 Urology Centers, and K12 KURe and KUroEpi Programs are required to attend the meeting from start to end. Investigators and trainees from the broader urology research community are welcome and strongly encouraged to participate.
The annual meeting exists to:
- Allow the exchange of scientific knowledge about advances in non-malignant genitourinary research
- Provides a platform for building interactions across CAIRIBU Centers and Programs and between CAIRIBU investigators and investigators in the broader benign urologic research community.
- Promotes knowledge exchange and sharing of research resources
- Advances and early investigators in their development as future leaders
