CAIRIBU has various groups dedicated to different urological specialties. These groups offer a wealth of resources, expert knowledge, and collaborative opportunities for professionals and researchers. See below for the currently existing CAIRIBU Research Interest Groups, or RIGs, which are specialized teams focused on advancing research and collaboration in various aspects of urological health. These groups include experts and researchers dedicated to specific areas such as uromicrobiota, machine learning, and kidney stones.
Uromicrobiota Research Interest Group (U-RIG)
This group includes investigators interested in the uromicrobiota from a variety of fields including urology, urogynecology, microbiology, microbial ecology, virology, bioinformatics, and computer and data science.
Machine Learning Research Interest Group (ML-RIG)
The ultimate goal of this group is to develop and validate a machine learning model that predicts treatment failure and success in patients with various urologic conditions, starting with women who have OAB.
Urolithiasis Research Interest Group (UL-RIG)
CAIRIBU-affiliated investigators study epidemiology and etiology of stone formation, cellular and metabolic pathophysiology, genetic contributors, environmental and nutrition-related contributors, and stone prevention.
