Accelerating Research Translation (ART) – NSF

The overarching goal for the Accelerating Research Translation (ART) program is to advance the U.S. scientific and economic leadership by building capacity and increasing the number of robust translational research ecosystems in Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs). The ART program seeks proposals involving institutional leadership; research translation programs, institutes or centers; technology transfer offices; units responsible for managing research intellectual property (IP); entrepreneurial training teams; and researchers from all scientific, technological and engineering fields in collaboration with one or more of the other target categories. The ART program framework is built around five distinct Tracks that are interconnected. These Tracks are differentiated by the research translation readiness level (RTRL). [The deadline to apply for Tracks 1 & 5 is 01/15/2026. The deadline to apply for Tracks 2,3, and 4 is 03/12/2026.]

Klingenstein Fellowship Awards in Neuroscience

The Klingenstein Fellowship Awards in Neuroscience supports early-career investigators engaged in basic or clinical research that may lead to a better understanding of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Priority is given to candidates who may not have received substantial funding from other private awards yet have highly promising scientific careers. [Applications are due February 1, 11:59pm EST.]

Basic Research in Neurobiology Research Grants – Whitehall Foundation

The Whitehall Foundation seeks to fund basic research in vertebrate (excluding clinical) and invertebrate neurobiology in the United States. Investigations should specifically concern neural mechanisms involved in sensory, motor, and other complex functions of the whole organism as these relate to behavior with an overall goal to better understand behavioral output or brain mechanisms of behavior. Research grants of up to three years will be provided with two-year renewals competitively awarded. [Letters of intent due 01/15/2026. Full applications due 06/01/2026.]

Clinical Research Grants for Robotic-assisted Surgery (Intuitive Foundation)
