The CAIRIBU Urobiome Research Interest Group (U-RIG) brings together scientists and clinicians interested in the uromicrobiota. Investigators represent a variety of fields including urology, urogynecology, microbiology, microbial ecology, virology, bioinformatics, and computer and data science. The CAIRIBU U-RIG aims to advance the urobiome field by stimulating knowledge exchange, ideas, and research collaborations aimed at improving mechanisms associated with critical clinical problems in the urinary tract.

This month’s knowledge exchange will feature talks from Ayushi Uberoi, PhD (Washington University in St. Louis) and Aaron Miller, PhD (Cleveland Clinic). Dr. Miller will present “Biofilm formation, but not antibiotic resistance, defines kidney stone associated bacteria“.
