CAIRIBU Graduate Student Seminars provide an informal, virtual platform that highlights graduate students’ work. These seminars give graduate students an opportunity to share and receive feedback on in-progress ideas or new research. All are welcome to attend to hear the students’ presentations and to participate in discussion.
Nicholas Steers, PhD (Columbia University) will provide an overview of the Steers Lab before introducing his lab members. Following this, three members of his lab will present their research projects:
- Samantha Ye – “Identifying Unique Transcriptomic and Molecular Signatures in Bladder and Kidney Macrophage Populations”
- Leuna Sen – “Resident and Recruited Macrophage Responses Following Uropathogenic E. coli Inoculation of the Bladder in Genetically Diverse Mice”
- Jenna Simpson, MS – “Remote Tissue Macrophage Responses After Uropathogenic E. coli Inoculation of the Bladder in Genetically Diverse Mice”
At the conclusion of their presentations, LaTasha K. Crawford VMD, PhD, DACVP (UW-Madison) will moderate a Q+A and discussion.
