Supports interdisciplinary research teams to tackle a single focused scientific goal with a highly integrated, synergistic approach. Program goals should not be achieveable through individual efforts or a collection of projects. [Expires 9/27/29.]
Up to $225K / y in direct costs for 5y to support early-stage clinician-scientists in advancing their research and leadership skills in their specialty and in the broader field of aging research. [Deadline: 11/10/26.]
Up to $125K / y for 2y for early-career clinician-scientists trained in medical or surgical specialties to conduct transdisciplinary aging research that will yield pilot data and experience for subsequent aging research projects. [Expires 7/17/2028.]
Indira Mysorekar, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Chief of Basic and Translational Research at Baylor College of Medicine and PI of a prior CAIRIBU P20 Exploratory Center at Washington University, was awarded an R01 research grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of the National Institutes of Health for the project "Mechanisms of age- and sex-dependent changes in urinary bladder immunity.”
