This monthly virtual seminar series, sponsored by the UW-Madison U54 George M. O’Brien Urology Center, will feature presentations that showcase the research of K12 scholars in the CAIRIBU KURe and KUroEpi programs and enhances their visibility in the benign GU research community.
This month’s seminar features Scott Bauer, MD, MS, Assistant Professor, University of California – San Francisco, K12 Alum of the CAIRIBU Urological Epidemiology Research Career Development Program (KUroEpi) at the University of California – San Francisco-Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Bauer is a prior K12 scholar whose research interests include understanding the mechanisms underlying urologic aging, defining clinical phenotypes and biomarkers for older adults with debilitating urologic conditions, and longitudinal assessment of biomarkers, functional outcomes, and quality of life. His talk is titled “Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms: Evidence for a Geriatric Syndrome and Clinical Implications.”
All are welcome to attend the presentations and to participate in discussion. Seminars fall on the second Thursdays of January-June.
