This monthly virtual seminar series, sponsored by the UW-Madison U54 George M. O’Brien Urology Center, will feature presentations that showcase the research of K12 scholars in the CAIRIBU KURe and KUroEpi programs and enhances their visibility in the benign GU research community. All are welcome to attend the presentations and to participate in discussion. Seminars fall on the third Thursdays of January-June.

This seminar will feature a talk from Vinaya Bhatia, MD (University of Wisconsin-Madison KURe Program). Dr. Bhatia’s talk is titled “HAPpenis revisited: understanding the importance of the patient perspective after Genitourinary reconstruction”.

Dr. Bhatia’s research focuses on quality of life and improving standards of care in hypospadias, pediatric congenital conditions, and neonatal circumcision.  She is currently working on developing a measure of quality of life for patients with hypospadias, to improve psychosocial and psychosexual outcomes in youth and adults who have been treated for hypospadias.
