This is a CAIRIBU ARCTICS Community Forum organized in collaboration with the UW–Madison Institute of Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Data Science Institute. ARCTICS (Advancing the Research Capacity of Trainees and Investigators at early-Career Stages) forums aim to provide resources and skills to the next generation of leaders in non-malignant genitourinary research. This ARCTICS forum is organized in collaboration with the UW–Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Data Science Institute. This session will feature a talk from Finn Kuusisto, PhD a Data Scientist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Data Science Institute. Overarching Aims
- Data Organization: Explain large data sets, data formats, and concepts related to cleaning, storing, visualizing, and manipulating data.
- Analysis Techniques: Demystify, explain, and define terminology used to describe data analysis, techniques, clustering, and model validation.
- Problems with AI: Describe shortcomings and problems with AI techniques, including machine learning.
- Research and Collaboration: How to identify whether AI and machine learning techniques are useful in your research and how to communicate with data scientists.
