This is a CAIRIBU ARCTICS Community Forum organized in collaboration with the UW-Madison Institute of Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Data Science Institute.
ARCTICS (Advancing the Research Capacity of Trainees and Investigators at early-Career Stages) forums aim to provide resources and skills to the next generation of leaders in non-malignant genitourinary research. This ARCTICS forum is organized in collaboration with the UW-Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) and the Data Science Institute.
This session will feature a talk from Finn Kuusisto, PhD a Data Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Data Science Institute.
Overarching Aims
- Data Organization: Explain large data sets, data formats, and concepts related to cleaning, storing, visualizing, and manipulating data.
- Analysis Techniques: Demystify, explain, and define terminology used to describe data analysis, techniques, clustering, and model validation.
- Problems with AI: Describe shortcomings and problems with AI techniques, including machine learning.
- Research and Collaboration: How to identify whether AI and machine learning techniques are useful in your research and how to communicate with data scientists.
