About Travel Awards
CAIRIBU Travel Awards are given to trainees to offset the cost of attending the CAIRIBU Annual Meeting. Awards will be disbursed AFTER the conclusion of the meeting.
New this year: Awardees will not submit receipts; awards will be flat amounts. Awardees who are not US citizens or permanent residents may be subject to federal tax withholding.
Travel Award Requirements
To qualify for a travel award to attend the 2026 CAIRIBU Annual Meeting you must:
- Be a trainee or early-stage investigator (as defined by the NIH)
- Submit at least one abstract
- Attend your assigned poster session and present your poster
- Attend the entirety of the Trainee Pre-Meeting and CAIRIBU Annual Meeting
- Complete the pre-meeting and annual meeting evaluation forms
Trainees who fail to meet all requirements will not be eligible to receive travel award funds.
