Overview

The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will join the Vickman laboratory investigating inflammatory cells in benign prostatic hyperplasia. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, curious, proficient in written and verbal English, and capable of independent research. This position requires dedication and organization.

• Compensation: Pay based on experience and NIH guidelines ($63,480-$77,076)

• Hours: Monday-Friday, [hours and flexible work schedules]

Requirements

• Education: Doctorate Medicine or Doctorate Biology, MD- Medicine or MD- Biology, PHD- Medicine or PHD-Biology
• Experience: 3 years of experience in professional research laboratory in genetic epidemiological studies.
• Skills: Extensive knowledge of current literature in translational, urology and/or immunology research. General animal model handling/experience. Able to solve technical and inter-laboratory problems related to research. Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect experiment or reporting of results and of taking corrective action or notifying appropriate supervisory personnel. Ability to prepare and author scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
