Meeting registration is free! The final deadline for registration is June 19th, 2026. Any investigator in the U-RIG is invited to attend.

Submit an Abstract

Any trainees and ESIs who submit abstract by the early June 19th, 2026 deadline  will be considered for travel awards.

We are excited to announce the CAIRIBU Urobiome Research Interest Group Summer Meeting taking place on July 30-31  in Madison, Wisconsin. The meeting is supported by the CAIRIBU U24 Interactions Core. This in person meeting will bring together investigators and trainees from within the CAIRIBU Urobiome Research Interest Group (U-RIG) community to share research, nurture collaboration, and innovate solutions to the major challenges faced within our nascent field. The meeting will span one and a half days and will feature: 

  • Keynote lecture by  Alan Wolfe, PhD (Loyola University Chicago) and Linda Brubaker, MD (UC San Diego)
  • Clinical keynote lecture by Nazema Siddiqui, MD, MHsc (Duke University)
  • Additional invited talks from leaders in urobiome research: Vanessa Hale, DVM, PhD (The Ohio State University), Jean-Philippe Gourdine, PhD, MS (Lewis & Clark College), and Tanya Sysoeva, PhD (University of Alabama at Huntsville)
  • Multiple CAIRIBU U-RIG working group breakout sessions 
  • Lightning talks from trainees 
  • Trainee/early-stage investigator poster session 

Registration and abstract submission deadline: June 19th

Meeting registration is free! Trainees and early-stage investigators who submit abstracts by the  June 19th deadline will be considered for travel awards.  As a valued member of the CAIRIBU U-RIG Community, we can’t wait to see you in Madison this July and are excited to continue working together to advance the urobiome field!
