Funding to Present Aging Research Findings at Conference

American Federation for Aging Research Dorothy Dillon Eweson Lecture Series

The Dorothy Dillon Eweson Lecture Series provides up to $2,000 to cover travel expenses and meeting-related fees to encourage investigators in the field of aging research to present findings at an annual scientific or medical specialty association meeting where aging-related research is not the primary focus.

To be eligible for this award, you must:

  • have received funding from AFAR, served on an AFAR grant review committee, or be a Nathan Shock Center Investigator or Nathan Shock Center Pilot Grantee.
  • have been accepted as a speaker/presenter at an in-person meeting for an oral presentation. Applicants will need to provide a confirmation letter. Examples of eligible presentations include plenary, keynote, and presentations as part of a panel session. Poster presentations are not eligible.
  • not have received support through the Eweson Lecture Series in the last three years

Preference is given to investigators who are new to the program, and those who will present at meeting venues within the continental United States.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect to receive a decision one month after submitting their application.
