Award Details
The ROCK Society Traveling Fellowship Grant covers up to $5,000 in travel-related expenditures to visit and meet with other Society members to develop or execute collaborative stone-related research ideas, write collaborative stone-related manuscripts or create other deliverables, or develop skills or gain knowledge related to conducting urolithiasis research. Applicants must be a ROCK Society member in good standing, and early-stage investigators are particularly encouraged to apply. Grantees should be prepared to present outcomes at the next scheduled annual Society meeting. The number of awards within a calendar year will vary depending on funding availability.
Criteria for decision making will include but may not be limited to:
- anticipated value of the proposed outcomes to the Society, to the field, and to the applicant and his/her research program;
- relevance, clarity, and quality of the proposal;
- likelihood of accomplishing the proposed objectives within the timeframe described; and
- potential for future follow-up activities or growth.
Application Instructions
Applicants may use more space than given, but do not exceed 2 pages (including figures and tables) for the total application. References or bibliography not required. Address all 4 sections:
- proposal title and funds requested;
- applicant details;
- activity(ies) to be supported; and
- benefits and future directions.
Applicants should attach an NIH-style biosketch, customized in all sections to reflect their commitment to stone research.
