CAIRIBU Graduate Student Seminars provide an informal, virtual platform that highlights graduate students’ work. These seminars give graduate students an opportunity to share and receive feedback on in-progress ideas or new research. All are welcome to attend to hear the students’ presentations and to participate in discussion. This seminar will begin with an introduction by Maria Hadjifrangiskou, PhD, who will provide an overview of the Hadjifrangiskou Lab at Vanderbilt University. Following this, Hadjifrangiskou Lab graduate student Jamisha Francis, MSc will present her research project.

The Uromicrobiota Research Interest Group (U-RIG) includes CAIRIBU and non-CAIRIBU investigators interested in the uromicrobiota. Investigators are clinicians and scientists from a variety of fields including urology, urogynecology, microbiology, microbial ecology, virology, bioinformatics, and computer and data science. The CAIRIBU U-RIG Research Hour aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and spur collaborations in the urobiome and adjacent fields.

The Uro-Aging Research Interest Group (UroAging RIG) connects uro-aging interested CAIRIBU and non-CAIRIBU investigators from a variety of fields such as urology, urogynecology, geroscience, neurology, neuro-urology, urobiome, nutrition, toxicology, and bioinformatics. The UroAging RIG engages in monthly knowledge exchanges to discuss recent research, develop collaborations, and strategize on ways to advance uro-aging research. We meet virtually every fourth Monday. ALL are welcome.
