dkNET Summer of Data Student Program

Applications are open for this virtual program that teaches undergraduate and graduate students how to leverage dkNET portal for research projects. No programming skills or bioinformatics background required. Participants will learn foundational concepts and gain hands-on training in data management, FAIR data, rigor and reproducibility, and data science. Preferences will be given to those research projects in the areas of focus for NIDDK including diabetes, obesity, nutrition, digestive, kidney, liver, urologic, endocrine, metabolic, bone, and blood diseases.

Eligibility: Must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) with citizenship or lawful permanent residence in the United States who is currently working in a research lab or who will work in a research lab during summer 2026.

Stipend: $500
