SMSNA Scholars in Sexuality Research Grants Program

The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) Scholars in Sexuality Research Grants Program supports junior investigators conducting research into human sexuality and sexual wellness with the goal of attracting junior clinicians and researchers to the field of sexual medicine and supporting their early studies.

Eligible applicants are medical students or residents, graduate students, and post-doctoral/post-residency fellows from a wide range of research backgrounds. Research projects must be carried out in the United States or Canada. Applicant’s mentor must be an SMSNA member and funded applicants will receive SMSNA membership at no charge for 2 years.

The maximum award amounts are: $5,000 for Undergraduate/Medical/Graduate School Students or $7,500 for Resident or Post-Doctoral/Fellows. Submit personal information, research proposal (4-6 pages depending on career stage), budget (cannot include indirect costs) and mentor LOS by March 30, 2026.
