Travel awards for early career investigators to attend Multidisciplinary Research in Aging/Team Science Workshop

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) Research Centers Collaborative Network (RCCN) aims to bring together researchers from the 7 NIA Centers programs to foster the development of cross-center collaborations around issues important to the health and well-being of older adults. To that end, RCCN is sponsoring a workshop on Multidisciplinary Research in Aging/Team Science, which will feature presentations and moderated discussions on Multidisciplinary Teams, Early Translation, Multidisciplinary Communities/Geroscience, and Tools and Barriers in Multidisciplinary Research.

Travel awards covering travel to and from the meeting, meals, and hotel accommodations are available to advanced doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows or ESIs (according to NIH definition) affiliated with an institution with at least one NIA Sponsored Center (e.g., AITC, Shock, Roybal, RCMAR, OAIC/Pepper, ADRC, or CDEA). Applicants must attend the full meeting (May 20-21 in Bethesda, MD) to qualify for travel awards and recipients will participate in a special career development session on May 20.

Apply by submitting an application form and attach a single PDF that includes Cover Page, Statement of interest addressing what you hope to gain from the workshop (500 words or less), NIH-style biosketch, and Statement of support from the appropriate NIA Center Director (100 words or less).

Application deadline: February 27, 2026. Decisions announced: March 6, 2026. Meeting dates: May 20-21, 2026.
