Dr. Maya Chandru and Dr. Ashleigh Theberge are seeking a postdoctoral candidate to apply for the NIDDK-funded NCOR TL1 opportunity at the University of Washington School of Medicine. This two-year program provides protected research time and a structured career development curriculum, with potential for a third year of funding.
The candidate would lead a research project optimizing a novel biomaterial to clear uropathogenic bacteria in a rodent model of urinary tract infection, with additional training in patient-centered design. PhD or MD-equivalent postdoctoral candidates with a broad range of research backgrounds will be considered, in particular those with experience in microbiology, rodent models, or biomaterials. Alternate funding sources may be available for well-qualified candidates who are not eligible for the TL1.
Applications to the NCOR TL1 are due April 1st and the position would begin in October 2025. Interested candidates should email Dr. Maya Chandru (overlandm@chop.edu) with a CV and a brief statement of interest, to receive more details on the TL1 opportunity and to schedule an informational call.
